BioI'm a cosplayer, going by the name of kukkii-san; a costume and wig designer, a photographer, a video game / anime&manga / rock music / movie / pop culture nerd, and I'm also a researcher on fan cultures.
IRL, I'm a postgraduate student at a German university, and I am currently researching my doctoral thesis on fan costuming in Europe and the US. I have a diploma in "Kulturwissenschaften", that is cultural studies, theatre arts, and media studies.
The thing I enjoy the most is sitting down to be creative; work on my costumes, watch a movie, play the occasional RPG, or do other stuff all by myself. I'm quite a party pooper, but I'm a nice person once you get to know me :) Favorites: Dark chocolate and cuddly animals!
My love for photography - which has always existed, but never been my major hobby - has grown over the years, so I try to split up my time at conventions between being in costume myself and arranging photoshoots with cosplayers that catch my eye.
As a cosplayer, I pay high attention to details and quality, and while I dig sewing and prop-making, my true love is for wigs *.* I enjoy helping fellow costumers with their projects, so I frequently give my advice and trade construction tips on forums. I also do commissions for wigs and accessories when time permits.
